Season Week 7! Wild over the Preds 5-3! Panthers nip Sharks 4-3!

 

Prep Wild: 5  Prep Predators: 3

In the first game of the new year, Dominic D'Agostino (3G) got the Wild on the board with an early tally. The Predators Ethan Shrayev (2G/1A) anwered for the Predators. Hudson Joffe(1A) added an assist. After a 2nd D'Agostino goal, the Wild led 2-1 after the first. The teams skated through a scoreless 2nd period. In the 3rd, the Wild exploded with 3 goals, led by the completion of Dominic D'Agostino's hat trick and tallies from Charleston Laurie (1G) and Griffin McCarry (1G). Beckett McCarry added an assist. Late goals from Alexander Zimmardo(1G) and Ethan Shrayev tightened the score to 5-3, but the Wild held on for the victory. Noah Transleau made his goaltending debut between the pipes. He and fellow netminder Austin Shrayev were stellar, with the Wild outshooting the Predators 32-12. 

 

Prep Panthers: 4  Prep Sharks: 3

In the late game, early goals from Felix Manev (1G) and Sebastian Wilk (1G) staked the Sharks out to an early 2-0 lead. The Panthers' Andrew Akner (3G/1A) countered to tighten the game at 2-1 after the first. In the 2nd period, Benjamin Keefe(1G/1A) knotted the score at 2-2 going into the final period. Anthony Rosales(1G) snapped a wrister by the netminder early in the 3rd period to put the Panthers up 3-2. Andrew Akner tied the score on a power play with about 5 minutes left in the 3rd on a goal assisted by Benjamin Keefe. With 47 seconds left in the game, Andrew Akner snapped a low whistler by the goaltender to complete his hat trick and put the Panthers up for the first time 4-3. The Panthers held on for the victory. Sawyer Lazarus was amazing in between the pipes, with a Sergio Bobrosky sequence to keep the puck out of the net early in the 3rd. Noah Transleau was also stellar in keeping the game close, in playing his second tilt of the day. There is still time to register! 2025-26 season registration pricing is as follows: $200 per Prep and Junior League skaters, $175 for siblings, and $150 for the Learn to Play Hockey program. Note that we do have an equipment lease program where parents can get loaner equipment for the season (with a deposit check). The lease program is first-come, first-serve limited only by our on-hand equipment.

The Wellington Roller Hockey Association offers loaner equipment  for beginner and first time skaters of all ages, including goalie gear.  Email us directly, or let one of the coaches at evaluations know you are interested.

Donations Accepted
